Help the youth in your classroom or in your care recognize emotional manipulation and sexual coercion in their relationships.

Leaders guide includes information about the emotional grooming process and how tactics such as jealousy, insecurity, anger, intimidation, bribery, and flattery can be used to sexually victimize teens. Language cons, boundary setting, the influence of drugs and alcohol, and indicators of sexual abuse are also discussed.

Lesson plans with group activities and discussion suggestions are provided. More than 50 actual letters written from teens to other teens that demonstrate grooming tactics are provided for discussion. These letters can be reproduced for classroom use and are powerful tools in helping teens learn to recognize how the language of others can manipulate their own behavior.
